Two Women Injured After Tree Crushes Car in Shah Alam

PETALING JAYA: Two women were injured when a tree fell onto their car at Section 7, Shah Alam, on Monday (Feb 16).

The incident occurred at 12.11pm near Pangsapuri Baiduri, Persiaran Tun Arshad Ayub, when the tree toppled onto a Mitsubishi Xpander, trapping the 39- and 42-year-old victims inside.

The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department said its personnel worked to extricate the women from the vehicle. Photos released by the department show the car’s roof caved in above the front passenger seats.

Firefighters confirmed that the victims sustained injuries to the head and hip and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
