JOHOR BAHRU, July 11, 2026 (The Capital Post) – Barisan Nasional (BN) has unofficially secured a simple majority to form the Johor State Government after unofficial results from the 2026 Johor State Election (PRN) indicated the coalition has surpassed the 29-seat threshold in the Johor State Legislative Assembly (DUN).

At the time of writing, BN has not only unofficially won several state seats but is also leading in a number of other constituencies, placing the coalition in a strong position to continue governing Johor for another term.

With a simple majority requiring 29 of the 56 seats in the Johor State Legislative Assembly, the current unofficial results suggest BN is on track to form the next state government. However, the figures remain subject to official confirmation by the Election Commission (EC) once the vote-counting process is completed.
