PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong is questioning why the Government is allowing companies that have been blacklisted from getting new Approved Permits (AP) to appeal the decision.

He was responding to a Parliamentary response by Deputy International Trade and Industry Minister Ong Kian Ming, who had said blacklisted companies have a right to appeal, which would then be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

“When they were in the Opposition, DAP protested against APs for imported vehicles and called it a policy that burdens the people and causes the Government to lose RM3.6bil a year.

“Now? When you are blacklisted, you can appeal,” the Ayer Hitam MP said in a Facebook post on Wednesday (Oct 9). – The Star
