KUALA LUMPUR, 12 May 2026 (The Capital Post) — A total of 11 Armed Forces veterans received RM55,000 in funding under the iTEKAD PERWIRA-i programme, an entrepreneurship initiative aimed at strengthening financial management and business sustainability among veteran entrepreneurs.
According to information shared on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Pertahanan Malaysia, the programme is a collaboration between PERHEBAT and Affin Islamic Bank.
The initiative was introduced to support veteran entrepreneurs in enhancing their business intelligence and generating sustainable income through structured entrepreneurship development programmes.
The RM55,000 allocation was distributed to support the participants’ business equipment needs.
Participants also underwent an intensive eight-month training programme comprising the Advanced Digital Entrepreneurship Program (ADEP) and Business Management Programme (BMP), conducted by the Malaysian Research & Education Foundation (MyREF).

The training focused on digital marketing, financial management, product branding and sustainable business development.
The cohort was celebrated during the iTEKAD PERWIRA-i Graduation Ceremony held at Menara AFFIN @ TRX on May 5.
Certificates were presented by Affin Islamic Bank managing director of Strategy and Operations Puan Jozaimah Johan Ali and MyREF chief executive officer Ts Mohd Khairuddin Rais.
