80 Children of Armed Forces Personnel in Sarawak Receive Devices Under e-Perkasa SPM 2026

KOTA SAMARAHAN, 20 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – Eighty children of Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) personnel in Sarawak have received digital learning devices under the e-Perkasa SPM 2026 programme to support their preparation for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination.

The device handover ceremony was officiated by Eastern Field Command Headquarters Commander Lieutenant General Datuk Mohd Sofi Md Lepi, accompanied by Yayasan LTAT Chief Executive Officer Datuk Dr. Mohd Nizar Haji Sudin, at Wisma Perwira Sri Kenyalang, Kem Muara Tuang.

The e-Perkasa SPM 2026 programme is an initiative by the Ministry of Defence through Yayasan LTAT in collaboration with Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) to assist children of ATM personnel studying outside military camps by improving access to digital learning resources.

The ceremony followed the symbolic launch of the initiative by Defence Minister on 14 May during the PROWIRA – Ready To Work (RTW) Graduan and Yayasan LTAT Education Initiatives 2026 programme.

The initiative is supported through strategic partnerships with PERNAMA, Boustead Plantations Berhad, TM Technology Services Sdn. Bhd. and Boustead Petroleum Marketing Sdn. Bhd., reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening digital education opportunities for children of military personnel.

According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Pertahanan Malaysia, the programme aims to provide greater access to quality digital learning facilities to help students prepare for their SPM examinations.- The Capital Post.
