PERAK, 20  July 2026 (The Capital Post) – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has reaffirmed the MADANI Government’s commitment to improving the people’s quality of life, saying efforts to ease the cost of living will remain a key priority ahead of Budget 2027.

Speaking during the Program MADANI Kita in Perak, Anwar said the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to bringing public services closer to the people while addressing their concerns directly.

He said engagements with the public allowed the government to better understand the challenges faced by families, including rising living costs, financial pressures and the needs of senior citizens.

Anwar said the government will continue strengthening initiatives such as Jualan Rahmah, Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) and Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) to help reduce the burden on households.

Looking ahead to Budget 2027, Anwar said the government will continue prioritising measures to raise living standards, strengthen the social protection network and ensure the country’s prosperity is shared more equitably, subject to the nation’s fiscal capacity.

According to a post on the official Facebook page of Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister stressed that the responsibility of leadership extends beyond infrastructure development to ensuring every family can enjoy a better quality of life.- The Capital Post.
