PUTRAJAYA 27 March 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has confirmed that no official report has been lodged regarding allegations that RM9.5 million was given to a politician by businessman Victor Chin.
The anti-graft agency stated that, to date, it has not received any formal complaint or documentation to initiate an investigation into the claims, which have recently circulated in connection with the so-called “corporate mafia” controversy.
Authorities stressed that any investigation can only proceed if credible reports or evidence are submitted through proper channels. As such, MACC urged individuals with information on the matter to come forward and lodge an official report to facilitate further action.
The allegation emerged after Chin claimed that a substantial sum was paid in relation to efforts to resolve issues linked to the controversy. However, the identity of the alleged recipient has not been publicly confirmed, and no verifiable evidence has been presented to support the claim.

In separate developments, several parties have called for transparency and for the individual involved to be identified, while others have cautioned against making unverified accusations that could undermine public confidence in national institutions.
The MACC reiterated its commitment to investigating any corruption-related claims once sufficient information is provided, emphasising that due process must be followed in handling such serious allegations.-The Capital Post
