KUALA LUMPUR 9 April 2026 (The Capital Post) – A man has pleaded guilty in the Sessions Court to wounding his two teenage children with a knife in a shocking domestic incident that has drawn widespread attention.

The accused, 49‑year‑old father of the victims, admitted to two charges under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt with a weapon, after the prosecution outlined evidence linking him to the attack at their residence. The court was told that the 15‑year‑old and 17‑year‑old children sustained non‑life‑threatening injuries during the alleged assault that occurred earlier this year.

According to the prosecution, the father armed himself with a knife and inflicted wounds on both victims during an altercation at home. Medical reports submitted to the court confirmed that the injuries required hospital treatment but were not considered permanent disabilities.

During proceedings, the accused remained silent when asked to enter his plea but later agreed to admit guilt after legal counsel advised him of the implications. The judge accepted the plea and set the case for sentencing on a later date to allow for probation reports and victim impact statements to be prepared.

The court also heard that the accused has no significant prior criminal record, and defence counsel indicated that personal and family stressors may have contributed to the incident, urging the court to consider mitigation during sentencing. -The Capital Post
