PUTRAJAYA, 14 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Home Ministry (KDN) has launched its AI Digital Human, an artificial intelligence-powered virtual representative capable of interacting in 12 languages to improve public access to ministry information and services.

Home Minister YB Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution bin Ismail officiated the launch on Monday as part of KDN’s continuing digital transformation and public service reform agenda.

The AI Digital Human is an initiative under the “AI for KDN, KDN for AI” aspiration and introduces a new interactive channel for communication between the ministry and the public.

Users can interact directly with the virtual KDN representative to ask questions and obtain information on services and matters under the ministry’s jurisdiction.

Instead of navigating portals, menus or documents to find information, users can submit questions directly and receive explanations through natural conversations.

The technology also incorporates a holographic experience featuring the persona of the Home Minister, designed to provide an interaction resembling face-to-face communication.

It can communicate in 12 languages, including Bahasa Melayu, English, Mandarin, Tamil and Arabic, expanding accessibility to KDN information for people from different backgrounds.

KDN stressed that the technology is not intended to replace the minister or government officers but to complement existing public service delivery channels.

The ministry said the initiative represents another step towards developing a smarter, more responsive and people-oriented service delivery ecosystem in line with technological developments and future public service needs.

According to a post on the official Facebook page of the Home Ministry, the AI Digital Human is aimed at making the ministry’s delivery of information and services faster, more transparent, responsive and effective. – The Capital Post
