KDN Undergoes SPINE Assessment to Strengthen Integrity Governance

PUTRAJAYA, 19 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening integrity, transparency and accountability through the implementation of the Integrity Management System and Governance (SPINE) Field Assessment.

According to a Facebook post by Kementerian Dalam Negeri (KDN), the assessment was conducted by the Malaysian Institute of Integrity (IIM) on 16 June as part of ongoing efforts to evaluate and enhance governance practices within the ministry.

The assessment aimed to review and validate evidence submitted by KDN while providing consultation services to identify areas requiring improvement and follow-up action.

The evaluation session was led by IIM chief assessor Nabil Eiman Azman, together with assessors Fara Hasda Suhaimi and Abdul Rahman Abdullah.

The assessment process involved document reviews in both physical and digital formats, verification visits and interview sessions with responsible officers.

KDN said the exercise serves as a mechanism for validation and continuous improvement to strengthen integrity practices, reinforce good governance and enhance the quality of service delivery.

The ministry added that the implementation of the SPINE Field Assessment reflects its continued commitment to fostering a culture of integrity and effective administration in line with the aspirations of Malaysia MADANI.

KDN reiterated its adherence to the principle of “Zero Tolerance Against Corruption” as part of its efforts to cultivate integrity, transparency and accountability across all aspects of management and public service delivery. – The Capital Post
