PUTRAJAYA, 6 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW) reviewed the implementation of its key policies, programmes and initiatives during its Top Management Meeting to strengthen service delivery and rural development efforts.
The meeting, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, covered the 19th, 20th and 21st Top Management Meetings for 2026.
Discussions focused on monitoring the implementation of programmes by KKDW and its agencies to ensure public services remain efficient, effective and impactful.
The meeting also reviewed initiatives to strengthen rural entrepreneurship programmes and the implementation of the communication and promotional plan for the Desa Kirana initiative.

Following the meeting, the ministry held a presentation ceremony for the MyRural Insight publication titled “Satu Sumber, Pelbagai Impak” to KKDW’s top management. The publication compiles research findings and policy analyses aimed at supporting evidence-based rural development.
KKDW reaffirmed its commitment to advancing sustainable, inclusive and competitive rural development to improve the well-being of communities and drive long-term prosperity in rural areas.
