KUALA LUMPUR, 27 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – RHB Islamic Bank Berhad has recorded RM262 million in cashless spending through the fifth season of its RHB Debit Card-i Campaign, reflecting growing adoption of digital financial services among students nationwide.
The campaign, held from 1 October 2025 to 31 January 2026, supported the MySiswa and MyTVETKPM initiatives and generated more than 50 per cent year-on-year growth in spending, while recording an increase of over 40 per cent compared to the pre-campaign period.
The latest campaign marked the first full season involving both MySiswa and MyTVETKPM cardholders, expanding access to digital banking and cashless payment solutions to students in public universities, vocational colleges and technical institutions across the country.
According to RHB Islamic, the initiative encourages students to adopt secure and convenient payment methods while helping them manage daily expenses more effectively through digital financial tools.

He said the growing adoption of digital payments among students reflects increasing confidence in managing finances responsibly and would help strengthen financial resilience as they transition into employment, entrepreneurship and professional careers.
The RHB MySiswa Debit Card-i and RHB MyTVETKPM Debit Card-i also function as student identification cards, enabling cashless transactions and access to campus facilities such as attendance tracking systems, libraries and secure entry points.
To date, RHB Islamic has partnered with more than 20 universities, 86 vocational colleges and nine technical schools nationwide as part of its efforts to support financial inclusion and digital literacy among students. – The Capital Post
