Mulu, Sarawak, 27 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Education (KPM) has continued its engagement efforts with local communities by holding an outreach session to explain key education reforms under the Malaysia Education Plan (RPM) 2026–2035.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia, Deputy Director-General of Education (School Operations Sector), Tuan Zainal Abas, conducted an engagement session with parents and members of the local community at SK Batu Bungan, Mulu.
The session provided an overview of the Malaysia Education Plan (RPM) 2026–2035, the 2027 School Curriculum, and the Learning Matrix for Year 4 and Form 3.
The engagement aimed to enhance public understanding of the nation’s education direction while strengthening collaboration between the Ministry of Education and local communities in advancing the country’s education transformation agenda.

During the visit, Zainal was accompanied by representatives from the Sarawak State Education Department (JPN) and the Baram District Education Office (PPD) to observe the school’s operations and meet with teachers.
The visit also included discussions on strengthening education governance, improving service delivery, and ensuring the welfare, safety and well-being of students remain a priority.
