Hasrat MADANI brings entertainment and government outreach to Johor

Batu Pahat, 28 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – Communications Minister YB Datuk Fahmi Fadzil joined members of the local community at the Hasrat MADANI programme held at Kopi Hailam Sri Medan in Senggarang, Batu Pahat, Johor, on Saturday.

According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Komunikasi, the community engagement programme combined entertainment with public information through an outdoor screening of the action thriller Blood Brothers: Bara Naga, alongside a casual meet-and-greet session with local celebrities.

The ministry said the programme also served as a platform to raise public awareness of government initiatives and current issues, with the aim of ensuring information is delivered to communities in a more accessible and engaging manner.

Also in attendance were Director-General of the Department of Information Malaysia Erwin Khairul Ahmad, National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS) Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Azmir Saifuddin Mutalib, and Department of Community Communications Deputy Director-General (Community Communications) Haji Suwadi Guliling.
