Parit Sulong, 28 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – Oil palm smallholders in Johor have received renewed support under the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) strengthening initiative aimed at improving certification compliance and sustainable farming practices.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Perladangan dan Komoditi – KPK, Plantation and Commodities Minister YB Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad officiated the MSPO Strengthening Programme for Oil Palm Smallholders in Batu Pahat District (Series 2), implemented through the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB).
As of 15 June 2026, a total of 55,194 smallholders in Johor covering 128,720.26 hectares have participated in MSPO certification. In Batu Pahat alone, 15,641 smallholders covering 29,122.54 hectares have been certified.
The programme also included the presentation of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) incentives, the opening of an MPOB Mobile Counter, and the announcement of RM4.028 million in funding for 20 Smallholder Farm Road (JLPK) projects in Batu Pahat.

The initiative aims to enhance productivity, improve infrastructure, and strengthen the overall well-being of smallholders while ensuring compliance with sustainable palm oil standards.
