KUALA LUMPUR, 30 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Plantation and Commodities (KPK) has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the workforce needs of the nation’s agricommodity sector are addressed through a structured and sustainable foreign worker management framework.
Deputy Secretary-General (Strategic Planning and Management) of KPK, Shafie Taib, attended the Special Cabinet Committee Meeting on Foreign Worker Management, which was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi at the Parliament of Malaysia on Tuesday.
The meeting discussed various matters related to the direction and enhancement of Malaysia’s foreign worker management, including governance, employment policies and labour requirements across key economic sectors.
