PORT DICKSON, 13 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – The MADANI Education Carnival 2026 organised by the Port Dickson District Education Office (PPD) served as a platform to bring the community closer to the latest developments in the education sector and ongoing reform efforts at various levels.
Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek said the carnival, themed “A Day with the People” (“Sehari Bersama Rakyat”), featured various activities and programmes including the TEKAD Programme, sharing sessions, as well as exhibitions on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), and artificial intelligence.
She said programmes such as the carnival were important in efforts to make education more accessible to the public while providing communities with greater understanding of initiatives being implemented to strengthen the national education system.
“Negeri Sembilan has very strong education potential. In last year’s SPM examination, Negeri Sembilan recorded a State Average Grade (GPN) of 4.16, surpassing the national average grade.
“This achievement also showed an improvement compared with 2024,” she said.
Fadhlina said the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE) would continue strengthening efforts to improve education quality through various approaches, including the implementation of the School Reform Programme to enhance students’ development and overall school performance.
