Communications Ministry Ensures Election Media Readiness

PORT DICKSON, 30 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – Communications Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Abdul Halim Hamzah inspected the ministry’s Media Centre at the National Information Dissemination Centre (NADI) Kampung Paya as part of preparations for the Negeri Sembilan 16th State Election (PRN16).

With polling day set for 1 August 2026, three main media centres in Seremban, Port Dickson and Kuala Pilah, together with 60 supporting media centres across NADI facilities throughout Negeri Sembilan, have been placed on standby to ensure the timely and accurate dissemination of information to the public.

During the visit, Abdul Halim expressed hope that the Communications Ministry’s Media Centres would provide media practitioners with quality facilities, reliable internet connectivity and logistical support to ensure smooth and efficient election coverage.

Also present were Strategic Communications and Corporate Division Secretary Naim Fahmi Ahmad Tajuddin and Negeri Sembilan Information Department Director Mohd Sabri Abdullah.

According to a post on the official Facebook page of  Kementerian Komunikasi, the ministry remains committed to supporting seamless media operations and ensuring accurate information reaches the public throughout the election period. – The Capital Post
