KUALA LUMPUR, 2 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – Ministry of Works (KKR) Secretary-General Datuk Seri Azman Ibrahim attended the Majlis Kibarkan Jalur Gemilang 2026: Kesejahteraan Dinikmati, marking the official commencement of the National Month 2026 celebrations.
The ceremony was officiated by Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar and held immediately after the AI Public Sector Senior Leadership Executive Programme. The event was also attended by ministry secretaries-general and heads of public service agencies.
The programme symbolised the beginning of this year’s National Month celebrations while reinforcing the spirit of patriotism, unity and love for the nation among civil servants.
The Jalur Gemilang was highlighted as more than a symbol of Malaysia’s sovereignty, reflecting the commitment of the public service to strengthen governance, enhance service delivery and drive national development for the well-being of the people.

In line with the National Month theme, “Malaysia MADANI: Kesejahteraan Dinikmati”, the Ministry of Works reaffirmed its commitment to delivering quality, sustainable and resilient infrastructure development to support economic growth and improve the well-being of Malaysians.
