KPM Encourages ISMP Student Joining International Internship

PUTRAJAYA, 2 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Education (KPM) has expressed its support for a sponsored Bachelor of Education (ISMP) student who will represent Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in an international research internship programme in the United States.

Deputy Secretary-General (Planning and Development) Datuk Dr. Megat Sany Megat Ahmad Supian met with ISMP-sponsored student Cik Nursyuhaida Hazira Jasni to convey his encouragement and hear about her participation in the International Industrial Training Programme UTM 2026.

The programme, organised by UTM, places students in seven countries namely the United States, the United Kingdom, China, Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea and Japan.

Nursyuhaida is the sole UTM representative selected for the Research Internship programme at Purdue University in the United States, where she will undertake her placement from 4 August to 4 October 2026.

During the meeting, Datuk Dr. Megat Sany expressed hope that Nursyuhaida’s participation and achievements would inspire other ISMP-sponsored students and create more opportunities for future teachers to gain international learning and research experience.
