BANGI, 5 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Human Resources (KESUMA) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) through the 29th ADTEC Department of Manpower (JTM) Convocation Ceremony for the Central Region.
The ceremony was officiated by Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri Ramanan Ramakrishnan at the Bangi Avenue Convention Centre (BACC).
For the first time, the convocation was organised on a regional basis as part of a new approach to bring ADTEC JTM closer to local communities while allowing more parents and family members to celebrate the achievements of graduates. The Central Region ceremony brought together graduates from various ADTEC JTM campuses nationwide.
In his address, Ramanan said TVET has become a mainstream pathway in developing a highly skilled workforce capable of meeting the demands of future industries.

He highlighted the importance of equipping graduates with skills in artificial intelligence (AI), automation, the Internet of Things (IoT), green technology and electric vehicles to ensure they remain competitive in an evolving job market.
The minister also called for stronger strategic collaboration between ADTEC JTM and industry players to ensure curricula, industrial training and technology exposure remain aligned with current industry needs. He further encouraged graduates to uphold integrity, continuously enhance their competencies and embrace lifelong learning in building successful careers.
