KUALA LUMPUR, 8 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – Entrepreneurs nationwide can now apply for TEKUN Nasional financing entirely online following the launch of the TEKUN Online Application System by Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister YB Encik Steven Sim Chee Keong.
The system was officially launched at Kuala Lumpur International Hotel as part of efforts to enhance access to financing and improve service delivery for micro and small entrepreneurs across the country.
Among the key enhancements introduced is a fully digital application process, allowing entrepreneurs to submit financing applications without visiting a TEKUN branch.
The new system also shortens the approval period for financing below RM100,000 from approximately 30 days to just seven days.
The Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP) is further targeting to reduce the approval and disbursement process to five days, while aiming to make pre-approved financing of up to RM20,000 within 24 hours a continuous service target.
