PUTRAJAYA, 11 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture YB Dato Sri Tiong King Sing joined senior ministry officials and regional representatives at the Official Celebration of the 59th ASEAN Day at Wisma Putra here.
Tiong, accompanied by MOTAC Secretary-General YBhg. Dato’ Shaharuddin bin Abu Sohot, attended the celebration on 10 August, which carried the theme “Navigating Our Future Together”.
The event highlighted ASEAN’s shared commitment to regional integration, cultural exchange and sustainable economic growth as the region works towards building resilient frameworks for the future.
Malaysia continues to emphasise stronger diplomatic ties, regional tourism cooperation and the promotion of the region’s shared cultural heritage as part of its engagement with ASEAN member states.

The commemorative gathering brought together key ministry officials, regional diplomats and strategic partners to mark 59 years of ASEAN solidarity and progress.
