KUALA LIPIS, PAHANG, 14 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – About 600 participants, including educators and members of the Orang Asli community, took part in an engagement session with Education Minister YB Datuk Seri Fadhlina Sidek at the Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Tengku Ampuan Afzan (IPGKTAA) on Sunday (13 September).
The visit, held under the 2026 Parliamentary Follow-Up Session Series 3, provided participants with an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the strategic direction of TEKAD under the Malaysia Education Plan (RPM) 2026–2035.
The initiative forms part of efforts to advance national education reform and develop the Generasi MADANI envisioned under the plan.
Participants included officers from the State Education Department (JPN) and District Education Office (PPD), principals and headteachers from the Lipis district, PIBG and PIBKS leaders, IPG lecturers and trainee teachers, as well as members of the local Orang Asli community.
The participation of IPG trainees, particularly Orang Asli trainee teachers, also highlighted the role of teacher education institutions in nurturing diverse talent and strengthening the country’s human capital.

During the visit, Fadhlina engaged with the local community and viewed an exhibition featuring Orang Asli heritage arts and handicrafts produced by students and trainees.
The Education Ministry said the engagement reflected its commitment to ensuring the country’s education reform agenda is understood and embraced inclusively by communities.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of the Ministry of Education Malaysia, the programme brought the education community and local Orang Asli community together to better understand the direction of the country’s education reforms. – The Capital Post
