SEREMBAN, 15 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – Six rescued animals found new homes through IJM Land’s Paws to Home programme at S2 Heights Aman, which brought residents and animal welfare groups together to promote adoption and responsible pet ownership.
The programme, themed “Where Every Paw Finds a Place to Belong”, combined pet adoption, animal welfare education, veterinary services and community contributions to support rescued animals.
“An animal’s affection comes with a duty to protect its well-being,” said IJM Land Chief Operating Officer Datuk Chai Kian Soon.
“Paws to Home gave people a direct way to act on that duty, whether by considering adoption, learning about responsible ownership, contributing supplies or standing with the organisations that work tirelessly for rescued animals.”
NS Happy Paws and FurryKids Safehaven supported the Pet Adoption Drive by sharing their expertise in animal rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming, while helping prospective adopters understand the long-term responsibilities involved.
The programme recorded six successful animal adoptions, while 31 pets received neutering services and 12 pet licence applications were facilitated. Pet owners also accessed vaccination and microchipping services during the event.

Execute AWA led an educational segment focusing on animal welfare, responsible pet ownership and humane stray management, while the CSR Giving Corner collected pet food and essential supplies for local animal welfare organisations.
Families also participated in workshops and other activities, while a Pet Bazaar featured pet food, treats, accessories, grooming and pet therapy services.
The event also highlighted S2 Heights Aman’s dedicated Pet Zone, an outdoor space designed for pet owners and their animals to spend time together and interact with others in the community.
IJM Land said the programme demonstrated how collaboration between residents, families, pet owners and animal welfare partners could translate compassion into practical action for both rescued animals and the wider community. – The Capital Post
