KUALA LUMPUR, 18 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – Festival Budaya Malaysia (FBM) 2026 @ Titiwangsa attracted 599,057 visitors over six days, marking a 93 per cent increase compared with last year.
The cultural festival, held from 11 to 16 September, recorded an increase of 289,411 visitors compared with 2025.
The strong turnout reflected public interest in Malaysia’s arts, culture and heritage, with the festival serving as a platform to showcase the country’s diverse cultural traditions.
FBM 2026 also sought to strengthen national identity and foster a sense of togetherness through cultural activities and programmes throughout the six-day event.

The festival concluded on Wednesday (16 September) at Titiwangsa after bringing together cultural showcases and activities celebrating Malaysia’s heritage.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), FBM 2026 recorded 599,057 visitors, representing a 93 per cent increase from the previous year. – The Capital Post
