PULAU CAREY, 21 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – Property purchases under the Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) programme reached RM1.5 billion in 2025, as the government continues to link the programme with tourism, property investment and ecotourism development.
A total of 9,511 participants were approved under MM2H between 2024 and 2025, while 744 participants had acquired properties in Malaysia by the end of 2025.
The People’s Republic of China remained the largest source of MM2H participants.
The latest push includes a proposed strategic collaboration between The Mangrove @ Carey Circles and the Malaysia My Second Home Consultants Association (MM2HCA), involving a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing and site visit at Pulau Carey.

The Mangrove @ Carey Circles development features 56 standalone luxury villas built around nature and wellness living concepts, which are being positioned as recommended residences for MM2H participants.
The initiative also involves Amverton Berhad’s efforts to promote Pulau Carey’s ecotourism, cultural heritage and hospitality potential as an international family tourism destination.
The collaboration comes as Malaysia promotes tourism and related investment in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2026–2027.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia, public-private cooperation is being strengthened to support the MM2H programme and Pulau Carey’s ecotourism potential. – The Capital Post
