KUALA LUMPUR, 30 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – Energy Tech Summit Asia 2026 is placing renewable energy, artificial intelligence (AI) and electricity grid modernisation at the centre of discussions on the future of the regional energy sector.
Deputy Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation Dato’ Sri Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Mohamad officiated the summit in Kuala Lumpur on 29 September.
The regional platform brings together innovators and global energy industry players to exchange expertise and explore developments shaping the future of energy.
This year’s summit focuses on strengthening renewable energy, integrating AI technologies, modernising electricity grids and expanding strategic cooperation with industry partners.

The Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA) said Malaysia’s energy transition goes beyond the development of green energy, with efforts also aimed at ensuring energy supplies remain secure, sustainable and affordable.
The summit also provides a platform to explore technological innovations that could support the energy transition while creating additional investment opportunities in Malaysia and across the wider Asian region.
