Allianz Malaysia Marks 25 Years of Trust as Shareholders Approve All AGM Resolutions

KUALA LUMPUR, 21 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – Allianz Malaysia Berhad marked its 25th anniversary with a reaffirmed commitment to delivering customer-centric solutions and sustainable growth as shareholders approved all resolutions tabled at the Group’s 52nd Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The meeting was chaired by Allianz Malaysia chairman Zakri Mohd Khir and attended by the Board of Directors, Allianz Malaysia chief executive officer Sean Wang, and Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad chief executive officer Giulio Slavich.

During the AGM, the Group highlighted its achievements over the past financial year and reflected on its quarter-century journey in Malaysia, underscoring its continued focus on building trust and securing lives.

Zakri said the company’s 25-year milestone reflects the confidence placed in the insurer by its customers, shareholders and business partners.

He said Allianz Malaysia remains committed to strengthening its legacy of trust and reliability while continuing to deliver sustainable value and innovative solutions.

Sean said the anniversary marks not only the Group’s achievements over the past two decades but also its renewed commitment to supporting customers beyond insurance coverage.

He said Allianz Malaysia aims to help Malaysians manage and prevent risks while providing greater confidence and security in their daily lives.

For the financial year ended 31 December 2025, Allianz Malaysia recorded a total business volume of RM6.24 billion, an increase from RM5.65 billion in the previous year.

Operating profit rose to RM1.17 billion from RM1.01 billion, while gross written premiums increased to RM7.69 billion compared with RM7.24 billion in 2024.

The Group paid a total annual dividend of 89.5 sen per ordinary share on 13 February 2026. It also distributed a single-tier interim dividend of 35.5 sen per ordinary share for the financial year ending 31 December 2026 on 10 June.

Among its key milestones in 2025 was the opening of the Penang One Allianz Flagship branch, aimed at enhancing customer service and accessibility.

The insurer also expanded its product offerings with initiatives such as Allianz Travel XPert, Allianz Electric Vehicle EcoMiles and AssuredLove, while continuing its community outreach efforts through its corporate social responsibility programmes.

Allianz Malaysia was re-certified as a Great Place To Work® in 2025 and received the Overall Excellence Award at the National Corporate Governance & Sustainability Awards (NACGSA) 2025.

Its general insurance subsidiary, Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad, was also named General Insurance Company of the Year at the 29th Asia Insurance Industry Awards 2025.

To commemorate its 25th anniversary, Allianz Malaysia launched a nationwide customer campaign offering rewards, including a Proton e.MAS 5, a trip to Iceland and exclusive dining and lifestyle experiences.

The Group also expanded its Allianz Carnival roadshow across Johor Bahru, Petaling Jaya and Penang to promote wellness, active lifestyles and community engagement.

As Allianz Malaysia celebrates its silver jubilee, the insurer said it remains focused on securing the future for its customers while driving sustainable growth and innovation for the years ahead. – The Capital Post
