Citrawarna Speed Festival 2026 Blends Supercars and Tourism

PUTRAJAYA, 5 October 2026 (The Capital Post) – Around 100 Lamborghini vehicles took part in an exclusive convoy from IOI City Mall Putrajaya to the Sepang International Circuit as part of Citrawarna Speed Festival 2026.

Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) Secretary-General Dato’ Shaharuddin bin Abu Sohot officiated the flag-off ceremony on 4 October.

The programme combined automotive culture, entertainment and tourism promotion, with the convoy forming one of the festival’s main attractions.

An automotive exhibition was also held at the Sepang International Circuit, giving visitors and motorsport enthusiasts an opportunity to view a collection of iconic vehicles up close.

MOTAC said the festival supports efforts to promote Malaysia as a dynamic tourism destination offering diverse experiences to both domestic and international visitors.

The programme also complements the Visit Malaysia 2026–2027 campaign by incorporating automotive lifestyle elements into the country’s tourism promotion activities.

Also present were Political Secretary to the Finance Minister Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim and Tourism Malaysia Deputy Director-General (Promotion) and VM2026–2027 Secretariat Head Mohd Akbal Setia.

According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Pelancongan, Seni dan Budaya Malaysia, the festival forms part of efforts to broaden Malaysia’s tourism appeal through a combination of automotive culture, entertainment and unique visitor experiences – The Capital Post
