PETALING JAYA: A heated argument between an elderly father and his son ended when the older man was bludgeoned to death in his home.

The suspect was allegedly fed up with his father constantly insulting and belittling him.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said the suspect and victim got into a huge argument at their house in PJS10 at around 12.30am on Saturday (Aug 26).
“In the heat of the argument, the suspect grabbed a shovel and attacked the victim.
“The suspect then wrapped the motionless victim in a curtain and carried him into a car.
“He drove about 2km away from the house and dumped the body by the side of the road,” he told reporters on Tuesday (Aug 29).
He said police were alerted at around 2.15am on Saturday about the case.

“The victims relatives went looking for him when the realised he was missing.
“They drove around PJS10 and found the body wrapped in a curtain by the roadside,” he said, adding that police then opened investigations and arrested the suspect, in his 40s, near Jalan PJS10/9A, Bandar Sunway at around 9.10am.
“Checks revealed the suspect has a prior record for criminal breach of trust and possession of a dangerous weapon.
“The suspect then led us to a house where we found a shovel which was believed to have been used in the murder,” he said, adding that police also seized a Perodua Kelisa which was believed to have been used to transport the body.
