HANOI, 6 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin and his delegation met with Malaysia’s Ambassador to Vietnam, Datuk Tan Yang Thai, during an official dinner at Rumah Malaysia in Hanoi as part of the minister’s official visit to Vietnam.
The gathering provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on current developments and discuss efforts to further strengthen bilateral relations between Malaysia and Vietnam.
Khaled also expressed his appreciation to the ambassador and the embassy team for their warm hospitality throughout the visit.

The Ministry of Defence noted that Malaysia’s diplomatic missions abroad continue to play an important role in fostering strong ties with partner countries while safeguarding national interests and the welfare of Malaysians overseas.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Pertahanan Malaysia, the dinner formed part of the Defence Minister’s official visit to Vietnam to enhance bilateral cooperation. – The Capital Post.
