Defence Ministry strengthens intelligence coordination in courtesy meeting

KUALA LUMPUR, Monday 15 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Defence, Lokman Hakim Ali, received a courtesy visit from Lieutenant General Dato’ Hj Fazal bin Hj Abdul Rahman following his appointment as Director-General of Defence Intelligence at Wisma Pertahanan today.

According to information shared via the official Facebook page of Kementerian Pertahanan Malaysia, the meeting reflected the continued commitment between the Ministry of Defence and Defence Intelligence to strengthen strategic coordination and institutional cooperation in ensuring the nation’s defence agenda is implemented in a more integrated, responsive and forward-looking manner.

Both sides also exchanged views on the evolving regional and global security landscape, including the need to enhance intelligence analysis and assessment capabilities to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
