PUTRAJAYA, 22 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Economy Ministry’s badminton team, Eco Smasher, competed against teams from government ministries and agencies in the 2026 Perbadanan Putrajaya President’s Cup Team Badminton Championship.
The 14-member team was drawn into Group A, where it faced Perbadanan Putrajaya, the Finance Ministry, the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) and the National Audit Department.
A total of 20 teams from various ministries and agencies participated in the championship.

Despite not progressing beyond the group stage, the ministry said the tournament provided valuable competitive experience while promoting sportsmanship and camaraderie among participants.
The ministry also acknowledged Kelab Ekonomi for its sponsorship and support of Eco Smasher throughout the championship.
