Fadhlina Highlights Student Talent and Patriotism

PUTRAJAYA, 20 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – Education Minister YB Fadhlina Sidek today officiated the Ministry of Education’s (KPM) August monthly assembly, held in conjunction with the National Day celebrations.

In her address, Fadhlina said National Month serves as an important platform to foster patriotism among Malaysians, particularly students, while encouraging them to appreciate the country’s history, the struggle for independence and national achievements.

She also highlighted the distinctive role of Fully Residential Schools (SBP) in identifying and developing students’ potential and talents across various fields.

According to her, the unique opportunities and excellence offered by SBP have made the schools among the options in supporting students’ educational aspirations.

The 51st Prime Minister’s Cup Debate Competition (PPM) was also highlighted as an important platform for developing SBP students’ potential through communication, critical and analytical thinking, self-confidence and debating skills.

According to a post on the official Facebook page of the Ministry of Education Malaysia, the initiative reflects KPM’s efforts to nurture students’ talents while strengthening patriotism in conjunction with National Month. – The Capital Post
