KOTA KINABALU, 8 October 2026 (The Capital Post) – Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil officiated the opening of the National Information Dissemination Centre (NADI) at Inanam Sentral, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, on Thursday, completing the nationwide network of 1,099 NADI centres.
The milestone marks another step in the government’s efforts to expand digital access and strengthen digital capabilities among communities across Malaysia.
As part of these efforts, the ‘1 NADI 1 Prompt Engineer’ programme has recorded 1,247 participants nationwide, including 509 from Sabah.
The initiative reflects the government’s commitment to equipping Malaysians with emerging digital skills and improving their ability to adapt to technological developments.
NADI has also evolved beyond its original role as a digital access centre into a hub for talent development and future-ready skills.

Through its programmes, the initiative aims to provide communities with greater opportunities for career development and income generation, including access to remote employment opportunities.
Also present at the ceremony were Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah and Sarawak) Datuk Ts. Mustapha Sakmud and Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) Chief Officer of State Affairs Sector Haji Bukhari Yahya.
