Federal Government Acquires Building for Hospital Tuanku Fauziah Staff Quarters

PERLIS, 23 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Federal Government has formalised the acquisition of a six-storey building that will provide additional staff accommodation for Hospital Tuanku Fauziah in Perlis, following the signing of a Sale and Purchase Agreement with Bumita Properties Sdn. Bhd.

The signing ceremony was held at the Galeri Diraja Arau on Wednesday.

Representing the Federal Government, the agreement was signed by Gs. Dr. Muhammad Yazrin bin Yasin, Senior Director of the Federal Land Management Division at the Department of the Director General of Lands and Mines (JKPTG). Bumita Properties Sdn. Bhd. was represented by YAM Tengku Puteri Mahkota Perlis Dato’ Seri Diraja Datin Paduka Hajah Sharifah Fazira binti Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail.

The ceremony was witnessed by DYMM Tuanku Raja Perlis and DYTM Raja Muda Perlis.

The acquisition of the six-storey building will provide an additional 34 quarters for staff serving at Hospital Tuanku Fauziah, with the initiative aimed at enhancing the welfare and comfort of healthcare personnel working at the hospital.

Among those present were Ministry of Health Secretary-General Datuk Seri Hj. Hasnol Zam Zam bin Hj. Ahmad, Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry’s Development Division Datin Paduka Roslinah binti Md Jani, Perlis State Health Director Dr. Ghazali bin Chik, and Hospital Tuanku Fauziah Director Dr. Hj. Amin Sah bin Hj. Ahmad.
