JOHOR BAHRU, 19 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) continues to recognise the commitment and readiness of the Malaysian Volunteers Department (RELA) in safeguarding community safety and well-being through a friendly engagement programme held in Johor Bahru today.
The programme was attended by YB Datuk Seri Dr. Shamsul Anuar Nasarah, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, and served as a platform to strengthen communication between KDN leadership and RELA members at the grassroots level.
According to a post on its official Facebook page, Kementerian Dalam Negeri (KDN), the session also provided an opportunity to express appreciation for RELA’s continuous contributions as a key community security backbone, while sharing ministry direction and discussing welfare-related matters affecting its members.

KDN said it continues to acknowledge RELA’s strategic role in supporting national security efforts, particularly in community policing, disaster response, and assistance to enforcement agencies.
