Hugo’s KL is hosting a barbecue buffet called Blues and BBQ Sunday, every first and third Sunday of the month.

The rustic and contemporary blue and bronze decor offer customers a nice place to relax.

“This is a brand new concept that we are trying. We hope to bring in those who want to chill on Sundays, ” said Ramada Suites by Wyndham marketing and communication manager Jasmine Prishni.

The barbecue buffet offers a selection of salmon, squid, chicken wings, Australian beef, Australian lamb, corn on the cob, jumbo chicken sausages, beef satay, chicken satay, baked potatoes and vegetables.

Diners can pair the items with condiments such as peanut sauce, mint sauce, smoked barbecue sauce and black pepper sauce, to name a few.

The salmon chunks and squid are marinated with salt, pepper, paprika and cajun spices while the chicken wings, beef and lamb are marinated in a homemade special sauce and barbecue sauce overnight.

For starters, we indulged in a savoury selection of grilled beef, lamb, salmon, corn and baked potato.

The grilled lamb was skilfully cooked. The juicy and tender meat was a joy to eat with mint sauce.

The grilled beef smothered with black pepper sauce had a good old fashioned taste to it.

If you like fish, salmon is your best bet. The corn, with its smokey and sweet barbecue glaze, and baked potatoes were both great side dishes.

For the second round, we relished chicken and beef satay served with nasi impit, onions and cucumber drenched in peanut sauce, chicken wings and sausages.

Jumbo chicken sausages, salmon, lamb, chicken wings and corn on the cob.The grilling station is strategically placed in front of the restaurant to entice potential customers to check out what is going on at Hugo’s KL.

Aside from the Sunday barbecue, there are a variety of beverages to order.

There is also live music at 3pm to complement the dining experience.

It is not suprising that Hugo’s KL attracts many people, with its calm and relaxing ambience despite being in the middle of the city.
