KDN holds JPSP meeting to strengthen security at critical sites

PUTRAJAYA, 22 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) held the second 2026 meeting of the Critical Targets Centre Committee (JPSP) to discuss the management of national critical targets and security at restricted areas and restricted places.

The meeting was chaired by KDN Secretary-General YBhg. Datuk Dr. Awang Alik bin Jeman, who is also chairman of the JPSP, at the KDN headquarters, Kompleks Setia Perkasa, here.

The JPSP meeting is held periodically to discuss matters related to the management of national critical targets and security management at restricted areas and places.

The Government remains committed to ensuring security management at government buildings and premises is maintained at an optimal level and complies with established guidelines, in accordance with the Restricted Areas and Places Act 1959 [Act 298] and the Critical Targets Standing Instructions.

The meeting was attended by YBrs. Tuan Ahmad Rajiun bin Abu Bakar, the newly appointed Government Chief Security Officer, who serves as the new secretary of the JPSP meeting.

Representatives from the Royal Malaysia Police, Malaysian Armed Forces Headquarters, National Security Council, Immigration Department of Malaysia, PLANMalaysia and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission also attended the meeting.
