PUTRAJAYA, July 22, 2026 ( The Capital Post)– The Ministry of Human Resources (KESUMA) has stepped up efforts to strengthen Malaysia’s industrial justice system by enhancing cross-agency collaboration through the Joint Task Force Meeting on the Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanism for Industrial Relations Disputes .
The meeting was jointly chaired by Deputy Secretary-General (Policy and International) Dr Mohd Shaharin Umar and Court of Appeal Judge Datuk Lim Chong Fong. It brought together representatives from KESUMA, the Judiciary, the Industrial Court of Malaysia, the Industrial Relations Department, the Labour Department and the Gig Workers Tribunal to discuss proposals aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms for industrial relations disputes.
Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration among key institutions to develop a dispute resolution framework that is more efficient, responsive and accessible, benefiting both employers and employees.
