KUALA LUMPUR, 12 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – Maybank Islamic Berhad has introduced the Maybank Islamic Nadi Mastercard Credit Card-i, a new Shariah-compliant credit card aimed at providing Malaysians with a simpler, more inclusive and predictable financing solution for their everyday financial needs.
The card is designed to meet growing demand for practical and affordable financial products that are easy to understand while supporting responsible access to credit.
As Malaysia’s largest credit card issuer, Maybank said the Nadi Mastercard Credit Card-i offers several customer-friendly features, including non-compounding charges, no annual fee and a fixed profit rate of 14 per cent per annum. Cardholders will also have access to Maybank’s wider cards ecosystem, including exclusive benefits and more than 1,000 merchant privileges across the region.
Maybank President and Group Chief Executive Officer Datuk Seri Khairussaleh Ramli said the new card reflects the bank’s commitment to developing simple, values-driven financial solutions centred on customers’ needs.

Unlike conventional tiered profit rate structures, which may reach up to 18 per cent annually, the Nadi Mastercard Credit Card-i offers a fixed profit rate of 14 per cent, providing customers with greater certainty over their financing costs.

The card’s name, “Nadi”, which means “pulse” in Malay, reflects Maybank’s aspiration to remain an integral part of Malaysians’ daily financial lives.
Maybank Islamic Group Chief Executive Officer and Chief Executive Officer Mohamad Yasin Abdullah said the bank believes financial products should be straightforward and enable customers to make informed financial decisions.

Customers will be able to apply for the Maybank Islamic Nadi Mastercard Credit Card-i via the MAE app, Maybank2u and all Maybank branches nationwide beginning October 2026. – The Capital Post.
