Measat’s official authorised reseller status will have the company offer Starlink hardware and services to the existing markets that it serves, which includes 130 countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, and Australia.

Its appointment will also allow Starlink to leverage Measat’s existing presence in the local market, particularly in regard to customer service, technical support, logistics, along with on-site repair and maintenance.

The chief commercial officer of Measat, Ganendra Selvaraj, says that the addition of Starlink to the existing Measat Connectme Now satellite broadband service would enhance high-speed Internet services for the last 3% of Malaysians without access to terrestrial network connections.

“Our new status as an Official Authorised Reseller for Starlink marks a milestone in our ongoing growth journey, being the first non-geostationary orbit (NGSO) satellite products offered through our on-ground network, as we continue exploring other potential NGSO solutions for our suite of services,” he adds.
