PUTRAJAYA, 30 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) has been recognised for its high-impact public service reform initiatives at the 2026 Bureaucratic Red Tape Reform (RKB) Recognition Ceremony held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC).
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Pertahanan Malaysia, the ministry was represented by Deputy Secretary-General (Management) Datin Roszanina Wahab at the event, which honoured ministries and agencies for delivering innovative, people-centric and high-impact improvements in public service delivery.
During the ceremony, Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar presented MINDEF with an award through the Department of Veterans Affairs (JHEV) for its project titled “Accelerating the Issuance of ATM Veteran Cards from Three Days to Immediate”, which significantly improved service delivery for military veterans.

The Science and Technology Research Institute for Defence (STRIDE) also received recognition for its project to enhance the efficiency of facility complaint management through more systematic and responsive work processes.
MINDEF said the achievements reflect the ministry’s continued commitment to strengthening public sector reform through innovation, improved governance and more efficient service delivery that brings tangible benefits to the rakyat and the nation’s veterans. – The Capital Post.
