KUALA LUMPUR, 26 June 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Defence has launched the National Defence Strategic Plan (PSPN) 2026–2030 and the Defence Capability Blueprint (RTKP) 2026–2030 to strengthen Malaysia’s defence preparedness, capability and resilience over the next five years.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Pertahanan Malaysia, Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin officiated the launch of the two strategic documents, which will guide the country’s defence priorities amid an increasingly complex and dynamic global security landscape.
The PSPN 2026–2030 is aligned with the Defence White Paper, the 13th Malaysia Plan and the National Security Policy. It outlines seven strategic thrusts, 29 key strategies and 103 specific initiatives aimed at enhancing the nation’s defence capabilities.

Complementing the strategic plan, the RTKP 2026–2030 focuses on strengthening defence human capital through three key pillars covering workforce effectiveness, patriotism and talent development in science, technology and the defence industry.
The ministry said both documents reaffirm its commitment to developing a stronger and more resilient defence ecosystem to safeguard Malaysia’s sovereignty and national interests. – The Capital Post.
