MELAKA, 16 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – Deputy Defence Minister YB Adly bin Zahari officiated the Jiwa Murni MADANI Programme (PJM) in Alor Gajah district at the Kampung Gadek Public Field, aimed at strengthening community engagement through various social and community service activities.
The programme served as a platform for the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) to engage directly with the local community and deliver assistance through initiatives benefiting residents and ATM veterans.
A total of five community projects worth RM179,200 were implemented by 9 Skuadron Rejimen Askar Jurutera Diraja (9 Skn RAJD), Malaysian Army (TDM), across the Alor Gajah area.
The programme also saw the presentation of mock cheques totalling RM133,000 under the Inisiatif Pusat Khidmat to eight beneficiaries, as well as the distribution of 500 Bakul RAHMAH to ATM veterans’ associations and local residents.

The PJM initiative is aimed at strengthening community well-being and public-military relations through a direct engagement approach that provides tangible benefits to the community, in line with the aspirations of Teras 4 of the National Defence Strategic Plan (PSPN) 2026–2030.
Also present were ATM Director-General of Islamic Affairs, Mejar Jeneral Dato’ Haji Mohd Rashidi bin Bujai; Director-General of Dentistry, Headquarters PMBTD (Western Field Command of the Malaysian Army), Brigedier Jeneral (Dr) Zabidi bin Mohd Taha; Deputy Director-General of JHEV ATM, Encik Sophian Isswandy bin Ismail; and Director of Operations, Engineering Directorate, Kolonel Norhisham bin Hasan.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Kementerian Pertahanan Malaysia, the programme reflects MINDEF and ATM’s continued efforts to strengthen community welfare and public-military relations through direct engagement. – The Capital Post
