BENTONG 2 April 2026 (The Capital Post) – A woman reported missing along with her five children in Bentong, Pahang has been located safe following an extensive search involving local authorities and community volunteers, police confirmed on Thursday.
The 33‑year‑old mother and her children, aged between two and 12, were discovered in a residential area several kilometres from their home late Wednesday after family members raised alarm when they could not be contacted earlier in the day.
Pahang police chief Datuk Mohamad Zainal Abdullah said officers were alerted after the family was reported missing on Tuesday evening, prompting a coordinated search involving police patrol units, Civil Defence Force personnel and community volunteers.
He added that the missing family appeared unharmed when located, and were promptly taken to a nearby clinic for medical evaluation and support. Initial interviews indicated that the woman may have left voluntarily due to personal and family matters, but investigations are continuing to determine the full circumstances.

Police stressed that no foul play is suspected at this stage, and authorities are in contact with relatives to ensure the family receives appropriate assistance following their safe recovery.
