MOT launches National Month with renewed road safety commitment

KUALA LUMPUR, 13 August 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Transport (MOT), in collaboration with the Road Transport Department (JPJ), held the MOT Monthly Assembly and National Month Launch 2026 at Dewan Sentral RAC, Ministry of Transport, today.

The programme began at 8.15am with the arrival of MOT personnel, followed by a briefing on the CUEPACS Living Care welfare programme before the arrival of Transport Minister YB Loke Siew Fook and the ministry’s top management.

The event featured a montage showcasing the ministry’s achievements and an address by the minister, alongside the launch of several key initiatives and the presentation of certificates of appreciation.

Among the recognitions presented were the Excellence Certificate for Procurement Management Auditing at JPJ and the Bureaucratic Red Tape Reform (RKB) Certificate.

A strategic collaboration between JPJ and Monsta Studios Sdn. Bhd. was also launched to strengthen road safety messaging through animation and digital content aimed at younger generations.

The event also included the handover of vehicles to departments and agencies under MOT, as well as the raising of the Jalur Gemilang in conjunction with National Month.
