KUALA LUMPUR, 7 September 2026 (The Capital Post) – Automotive culture and youth creativity took centre stage at the Motor Maniac 5th Annual Festival 2026, held at the rooftop of MyTOWN Shopping Centre here from 5 to 6 September.
MOTAC Secretary-General YBhg. Dato’ Shaharuddin bin Abu Sohot attended the festival on Sunday (6 September), which was organised by Bateriku.
The festival brought together automotive enthusiasts, streetwear culture, music performances and creative activities as part of an event focused on automotive lifestyle and community engagement.
Motor Maniac 2026 featured automotive exhibitions and communities, alongside activities incorporating automotive culture, streetwear, music and youth entertainment.
The festival also supported the development of the creative industry and domestic tourism through event-based tourism, providing a platform to showcase local lifestyle events to a wider audience.

During his visit, Shaharuddin delivered a speech before attending a plaque presentation by Bateriku’s Chief Executive Officer to the MOTAC Secretary-General.
He also took part in a photography session and walkabout around the festival venue.
The festival, which ran from 10am to midnight, demonstrated how automotive culture, youth creativity and entertainment can contribute to enriching tourism experiences while encouraging community participation.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia, Motor Maniac 2026 also supports efforts to strengthen event-based tourism in Malaysia. – The Capital Post
