PERAK, 20 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – The National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang 2026 celebrations were officially launched on Sunday, marking the start of this year’s National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations centred on patriotism, unity and togetherness.
The launch ceremony, held at the Sultan Azlan Shah Ministry of Health Training Institute (ILKKM SAS), was officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) Secretary-General Datuk Ts. Dr. Nagulendran Kangayatkarasu attended the event alongside representatives from various government agencies.
Carrying the theme “Malaysia MADANI: Kesejahteraan Dinikmati”, this year’s celebration reflects the MADANI Government’s commitment to ensuring the nation’s development and progress benefit all Malaysians in an equitable, inclusive and comprehensive manner.

MOSTI reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Malaysia MADANI agenda by advancing science, technology and innovation (STI) as key drivers of national development while promoting patriotism, unity and sustainable growth.
The ministry also encouraged the public to support the #SatuRumahSatuJalurGemilang initiative by displaying the Jalur Gemilang at homes and workplaces as a symbol of love for the country and commitment to preserving Malaysia’s peace, harmony and prosperity.
